We are proud and honored to announce that Nature Scapes has been chosen as an American Small Business Champion by SCORE and Sam's Club.
The American Small Business Championship (championship.score.org) awarded this title to 102 small businesses. Each state and the District of Columbia, for their dedication to the success of their businesses. Each state winner will be awarded a $1,000 Sam's Club gift card, an all expense paid trip to a training and networking event in Dallas, TX, SCORE mentoring and publicity throughout the year. Each Champion is also eligible for one of three $25,000 grand prizes.
We are honored to have been chosen for this award. When we began our business 22 years ago our dream was to build amazing ponds and waterfalls to help people relax and enjoy their time and family at home (staycation). As an added bonus utilizing an eco-system pond system has helped people to understand a bit more about how our native water systems work. We never would have guessed that we would be where we are today, building ponds, waterfalls and rainwater harvesting systems for folks across the globe and right here at home in NH.
We have had the great privledge of sharing our knowledge of wetlands, ecosystems and water gardening with local garden clubs and schools. Helping them to become better stewards of our most precious resources-water and the natural and living things that surround it. We have also been able to share pictures and stories of our volunteer rainwater harvesting projects from villages around the world. These projects inspire responsible water use, volunteerism and allow our community to realize their potential for positive impact both within and outside of their local community (especially important in our rural area). We've also been proud to volunteer on projects for the Shedd Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.
The prizes, training, publicity and SCORE mentoring we have been awarded will help us take our business to the next level and better serve you, our customers. We look forward to attending the training event in Dallas, Texas, and will be sure to check in and let you know how it goes!
